Your journey begins with a complimentary 15-minute discovery call. This brief conversation allows us to discuss your project goals, answer questions, and determine whether Tailored Home Design is the right fit for your home and renovation.

Next, we meet in your home for a deeper conversation about your space, lifestyle, and investment expectations. Together we define the project scope, timeline, and priorities, creating a clear foundation for the work ahead.

Using the insights gathered during our consultation, we develop initial concepts that capture your style and the desired atmosphere for your home. Mood boards, sketches, and digital visuals help bring early ideas to life and guide the overall direction of the design.

Once the overall concept is established, we refine the details that bring the design together. Materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings are thoughtfully selected and documented. These plans are organized within your THD Project Passport, a personalized binder that serves as a trusted reference throughout the project.

Before construction bids are submitted, we lead designer-guided walkthroughs with potential contractors. This ensures the design intent, scope, and expectations are clearly understood. We review proposals with you and provide guidance during contractor selection so the project begins on a strong foundation.

From here, the construction phase begins, with our team continuing to support the project as it moves toward completion.

Depending on the structure of your project, procurement may be handled through your builder or directly through Tailored Home Design. In either case, we ensure every finish, fixture, and furnishing aligns with the design plan and quality standards established during the design phase.

Throughout the renovation or build, we collaborate closely with contractors, tradespeople, and artisans to ensure the design is executed as intended. Site visits, coordination, and ongoing communication help maintain alignment between the design plan and construction progress.

As construction concludes, we oversee the installation of furnishings, lighting, art, and accessories. Each element is carefully placed and styled so the space feels cohesive, welcoming, and complete.

Once installation is complete, we walk through the finished space together to review every detail. If adjustments are needed, we coordinate them to ensure the final result meets the expectations set during the design process.

As the final details come together, we remain available to address questions, coordinate any finishing touches, and ensure the space is functioning as intended. Our goal is for you to feel confident and comfortable settling into your newly completed home.

Depending on the construction timeline, we’ll plan a photography shoot near the end to beautifully capture the finished space. We’ll coordinate details as the project progresses so it’s effortless on your end.
